Hi everyone. It turns out I can check my email pretty easily from my Kindle whenever I am in range of a cell tower
[The 3G functionality on my Kindle stopped working somewhere in PA, so I didn’t check my email very often]
, but composing emails takes too long and usually by the time I finish the signal is gone. So I’ll probably save my emails up until I find somewhere with WiFi and send them all at once.
Right now I’m in a cafe in Boiling Springs, PA. Yesterday, to celebrate one week on the trail, I walked 24.7 miles
[I did several more 20-25 mile days, but I don’t think I ever walked more than 25 miles in one day]
! I’m still sore from that, so I’m going to take it easy the next few days. On Thursday I’ll be in Duncannon, where the trail goes right through the town. I’m considering staying at a hostel there (https://www.facebook.com/doylehotel/), mostly because it looks nice and is only $25 with WiFi, where I can take a shower and clean my clothes.
I haven’t planned ahead anything after that. More walking, I suppose. There hasn’t been much rain since L, S, A, L, and M left
[My dad and sisters who walked the first five days with me!]
. Just a thunderstorm or two, which I am glad of.
